Body Count Named Wrestler(s) of the Month for August

After 6 months of blood, sweat, and tears…after 6 months of pain, suffering, and heartbreak…Body Count is finally PPW Tag Team Champions.

After six months of trial and tribulation, Xavier Justice & Hades, affectingly known by PPW fans as Body Count, defied all odds to become the PPW Team Champions this past Saturday at Rollcall of Champions in Waterford. Over the course of the third annual Gluttons of Glory Summer Tour and beyond, PPW fans all across the state of Michigan have watched XJ & Hades duke it out with the arrogant, yet successful combination of Blue Steele’s “Dazzling” Dominic & “The Big Deal” Cody Manning. These four men have been in an all out war to determine just who is the best tag team in Pure Pro Wrestling. Finally after months of letdowns and setbacks, Hades & XJ have achieved their dreams.
“Its an amazing feeling. I don’t even know how to describe it. A lot of fans don’t know this, but this is my first taste of PPW gold. I’ve been with this company since its inception, but I’ve always come up short…but tonight, things are different.” Said Justice.
From the beginning of PPW’s second annual Rollcall of Champions event, Body Count had the odds against them. PPW’s Dave Dupont had a scheduled interview with Body Count during the event before their match, however Blue Steele silenced everyone when they pulled the most vial, most sadistic, most dastardly, yet brilliant attack PPW fans have ever seen. The interview was first interrupted by Cody Manning, and with XJ and Hades attention on Manning, an opportunity opened up for “Dazzling” Dominic. Double D capitalized on the opening by doing something never seen before in a PPW ring…he proceeded to knock Hades unconscious with a glass bottle. Hades was rushed to the back by fellow PPW stars J.T. Havok & Nick Xero as well as referees Dan Marley and Corky Robinson where he was attended to by an EMT.

The EMT advised Hades not to wrestle, PPW staff and stars urged him not to even step foot near the ring, but Hades knew he wasn’t going to miss this match.
“They pulled a punk move by trying to take me out with a glass bottle. Don’t get me wrong, it hurt like hell, but there’s no way a little bit of glass shattering against my forehead was going to stop me from doing what I came here to do.” Said Hades.

As the Tag Team Title Bout began and the announcer called for Body Count, Justice was under the impression that Hades would not be at his side as he faced Manning and Double D. Body Count’s music played and Justice reluctantly made his way to the ring, but the entire time he kept looking back for his illustrious partner.
“I knew he was in bad shape. He had glass removed from his head, he lost a lot of blood…it was just bad news. I remember thinking to myself, okay 2 on 1, its 2 on 1, I’ve got to watch my back here otherwise this could be it for me. I also remember looking back at that locker room just hoping…praying…that somehow my best friend would find a way to the ring. When he walked through that door I was in awe. He went through so much, I just couldn’t believe the guts of this guy.” Said Justice

Body Count prepares to deliver their signature move "The Hellavator," a move that would lead to victory of Blue Steele.
Fans went berserk when the battered and bloody Hades slowly made his way to the ring. Meanwhile Justice coudldn't believe his eyes nor could he contain his excitement. With everything to gain and nothing to lose, with the deck stacked against them, with their backs to the wall; Body Count would take the ring together on this night. On this night, Saturday, July 31 2010, PPW’s grittiest tag team somehow did the impossible. Body Count became champions.
